The Home Team began years ago with the idea that a team of Realtors could provide our clients with a higher level of experience and service than we could as individual agents. Our way of working together encourages collaboration, pools resources and knowledge, and most importantly, ensures constant availability to our clients even during our vacation and family time. We named our company “HOME TEAM REALTY” because we are so proud of and dedicated to our team model.

Our team works together in an open office environment and utilizes centralized communication methods so that each team member is always up to date on our clients’ goals and transactions. Carrie Richardson

Owner, Managing Principal Broker, JD, GRI, Earth Advantage

Carrie is an Owner/Partner/Managing Principal Broker at Home Team Realty. Dual-licensed both Oregon and Washington, she started her real estate career in 2000, shortly after graduating from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark. Her background as member of the Oregon State Bar gives her a unique perspective in our industry. Carrie has thrived as a broker with strong negotiating skills, attention to detail, and a reputation for providing caring support throughout the home buying and selling process. Above all, she prides herself on maintaining the highest professional standards in her work.

Clients have complimented Carrie on her knowledge, perseverance, and insight. She has built her business on referrals and repeat clients, helping countless satisfied customers make profitable real estate decisions. Her business has thrived with hundreds of transactions under her belt and nearly $100 million in sales.

Carrie is also active with the local real estate leadership. She has served on the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors PAC, and was Chair of the Oregon Real Estate Forms Board of Managers where she appreciated the opportunity to help write and improve the forms and contracts that all Oregon Realtors use.

A Chicago native, Carrie moved to Portland in 1994 because she wanted to live in a beautiful place with easy access to the great outdoors. Her favorite outdoor activities include whitewater rafting, hiking, and camping with her husband and 9-year old daughter. She recently built a new home in SE Portland and loves cooking in her spacious kitchen and entertaining on her 4th floor roof deck.

Kenny Yoder

Owner, Managing Principal Broker, ABR, Earth Advantage

As a dual-licensed Principal Broker in both Oregon and Washington, Kenny brings to Home Team the experience and resources to represent clients on both sides of the river. Kenny built his real estate business with a fierce dedication to the success of each and every one of his clients

In 2005, as a young married college student, he purchased his first house which inspired him to obtain a real estate license soon after. He quickly gained a dedicated client base through honest professionalism and great real estate instincts. Now as an Owner/Partner at Home Team Realty, Kenny specializes in pricing strategy, investment properties, and remodel projects.

Kenny’s experience as the former owner of a rehabbing company provides experience and expertise to help clients navigate real estate investment opportunities. He even helped manage the construction of an in ground pool in his backyard in 2017! He genuinely enjoys the challenge of finding great investment prospects and coaching clients through the rehab process. Clients benefit from Kenny’s knowledge of market trends and ability to find the perfect diamond in the rough.

Kenny has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and certifications as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative and an EarthAdvantage Certified Realtor. His psychology degree coupled with his natural mediator personality allow him to expertly negotiate on behalf of each client. He always looks for ways to stretch & bend the other party to get the best deal possible. Clients ranging from first time home buyers to seasoned investors value Kenny’s expert advice and guidance.

When not searching for the perfect house, Kenny’s love for travel takes him on adventures around the world with his wife. In 2016 Kenny’s son made his entrance and has proved to be another adventure! While Kenny enjoys exploring, there’s nothing like returning home to SE Portland where he loves hanging out in his backyard complete with a new pool, outdoor fireplace, wood-fired hot tub, and chicken coop for Edna the hen.

Valerie Darnell

Broker, Transaction Manager

A genuine interest in people and knack for client care led Valerie to begin her adventures in real estate as a licensed Realtor and assistant in the San Francisco Bay Area. After relocating to Portland, Valerie gained experience as an office manager at a Portland boutique property management company and aided in the launch of her husband’s Latin American Food Truck - and now brick and mortar.

These positions gave her the skills needed to coordinate the intricate facets of any real estate transaction, from the very beginning to the handing over of keys. Valerie’s fascination for the ever-lively world of real estate and her sincere desire to help people with some of the most important and meaningful decisions of a lifetime, made her perfect for her current position as Home Team’s Transaction Manager. Her detail-oriented nature meshes perfectly with the realm of transaction management and she loves the fact that no two deals, nor two days are ever the same.

Valerie is a native born Oregonian with strong roots in northern California. Compelled by a love for culture and language, she studied sociology and later lived in South America. There she taught English, explored, met and courted her Colombian husband. After several years back and forth, she and Carlos now call Portland home. In her free time, she can be found having fun with family and friends, enjoying all the awesomeness that Portland and the great Northwest have to offer. Valerie loves dancing, yoga, dabbling in a multitude of crafts, and coddling her sweet orange tabby cat

Andy Harris

Broker

Andy brings a decade of real estate experience to the Home Team Realty team. His first three years in real estate were spentt in lending as both a mortgage banker and a mortgage broker, giving him a strong understanding of home financing, which he utilizes to inform and educate his clients regarding their home loan needs.

His subsequent experience in real estate includes 4 years as an independent real estate agent for one of the large, national agencies, as well as personal property management experience and real estate investing. He’s been a part of the Home Team squad for over 3 years.

In 2003, Andy received an MBA in international business from Thunderbird, School of Global Management. He has lived in Spain, Ecuador, Bolivia and Uruguay, and has a love for exploration, adventure, helping others and interpersonal communication. These passions of his help him tremendously as a real estate agent, as they all come into play on a daily basis in this position.

Andy has also worked for Patagonia, as a yoga studio manager, as the general manager of a boutique hotel, and as the founder of a destination marketing company. In each position Andy demonstrated a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction. He brings a unique skill set that allows him to provide excellent customer care and home buying and selling experiences for Home Team’s clients.

Hailing from Chicago, Andy moved to Oregon in 2012 and absolutely loves living in Portland. He enjoys travel, yoga, hiking, swimming, photography and in particular loves spending time with his wife, baby girl, and two kitties.
